Jose Mourinho is assessing his options after holding talks to become manager of Saudi Arabian club Al Qadsiah, talkSPORT understands.

The Portuguese has been out of work since January when he parted company with Italian club Roma but has been touted by Saudi Arabian oil company Aramco-owned outfit as their new boss.

Al Qadsiah aren’t in the Saudi Pro League but will be next season having clinched the Saudi First Division title this term.

Mourinho has been in the Gulf State speaking at the Sync Summit on a two-day trip to Saudi city Al Khobar.

He’s understood to have met with some of Aramco’s most influential figures, including CEO Amin Nasser, Qadsiah project leader Nabil Aljama and Qadsiah board member Faisal Alnughaimish.

The 61-year-old is yet to make a decision as he also weighs up interest from Turkey.

Al Qadisah are eager to recruit a marquee signing and Mourinho held direct talks with club officials this week.

Even if he doesn’t accept the managerial post, Aramco are understood to be open to utilising Mourinho in either a managerial, strategic or ambassadorial role.
