Liverpool are considering letting Mohamed Salah leave the club just days after selling ‘club legend’ Sadio Mane to Bayern Munich.
The Egyptian has been in protracted contract talks with the Reds for some time with little progress being made.
Now, according to The Sun, Liverpool are mulling over the possibility of letting Salah leave for a fee of around £60million.
And the beneficiaries could be Real Madrid who beat Jurgen Klopp’s men in the Champions League last month.
Salah has just one year left on his contract as he seeks a new deal and remuneration for this incredible talents which saw him finish as joint-top scorer in the Premier League last season.
As such, the 30-year-old reportedly wants a deal worth £400,000 a week.
But Liverpool owners Fenway Sports Group are keen to look after the pennies and reluctant to break their pay structure for him.
Salah currently earns around £240,000 a week but a switch to Real Madrid would almost certainly guarantee him the mega-deal he desires in what would likely be his last opportunity to get big-money wages.

Mane was in the same situation as Salah and left Anfield in a £35m transfer with just one year left on his contract with the club.
Real Madrid have long had an interest in the ex-Chelsea man but would likely have thought next summer would be their best chance to land him.
Given the club were denied the chance to sign France superstar Kylian Mbappe, who penned a new deal with Paris Saint-Germain, they may now plunder another European rival.
Liverpool have been active in the transfer market in recent months as Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez have arrived at Anfield, cushioning the blow of Mane’s departure.
Fabio Carvalho has also moved to Merseyside, while Harvey Elliott and Kaide Gordon are highly-rated talents at the club.
