His exit comes just days after Chelsea finished sixth in the Premier League despite a difficult campaign riddled with injury issues.

However after meeting with the club’s hierarchy, Pochettino will not be in the home dugout at Stamford Bridge beyond the summer.

And Jackson, one of his star players during his only season in charge, appeared to be in disbelief with the news.

Taking to his Instagram story after it was announced, he posted images of him and his former boss, with one including two facepalm emojis.

“Good luck coach, wish we could stay more together but May God continue to bless you and your family,” he said in a post, with another facepalm.

“Thanks for your support and advices and making me better player and person ,wish you all the best.”

Chelsea legend John Terry also reacted to Pochettino’s departure on Wednesday morning, with his Instagram story saying he is ‘gutted’.

He also revealed his wish for the club during this next transition: “I just hope we don’t sign or sell any players until we get a manager in.”
