Norwich City have held talks with Will Still over their vacant managerial post, talkSPORT understands.
The 31-year-old is one of a number of candidates the Canaries are interested in replacing David Wagner, who was sacked after a heavy defeat to Leeds in the Championship play-off semi-finals.
Still was reportedly present at the clubs’ training centre this week for discussions with club chiefs.
The Belgian-born Englishman left his role at French top-flight club Reims earlier this month after a downturn in form saw them register just two wins in 14 games.
Still became an overnight sensation shortly after his appointment as Reims boss after coaching the club despite not having a UEFA Pro Licence.
This resulted in Reims being fined a whopping €25,000 for every match he took charge of until he began working towards his qualification.
He gained further popularity among football fans for his love of the Football Manager game which fuelled his belief he could go on to manage professionally.
Still is one of many names Norwich are considering after sacking Wagner hours after the 4-0 loss to Leeds ended the club’s hopes of Premier League promotion this season.
Dutch coach Pascal Jasen is also in contention following his impressive spell in charge of AZ Alkmaar, while Nordsjaelland’s 35-year-old boss Johannes Hoff Thorup is also believed to be in the running.
Norwich’s sporting director Ben Knapper is keen to put his stamp on the club after arriving at Carrow Road in November.
Knapper’s first task is to appoint his own manager, as Wagner was already in the hot seat upon his arrival.
In addition to a new head coach, Knapper will be tasked with bringing in a new head of football development, who will ensure ‘clear pathways for players transitioning from the academy to the first-team’.
