Now you have it - The Gold plated Samsung s4

We were dreading it. Dreading it like the mice dread the news of a new tabby being welcomed into the home. Apple unleashed a ‘gold’ frenzy with the launch of the iPhone 5S Champagne and it is definitely no surprise that other smartphone-makers and rivals (read Samsung) are following suit.

According to recent reports, Samsung is planning a gold variant of their current flagship, Samsung Galaxy S4. Infact, Samsung has already launched a gold variant of their winner of a phone in Gulf. Those in the UAE are in for a definite treat as Samsung has launched not one but two variants of the golden Samsung Galaxy S4!

Announced via a Facebook post, Samsung Gulf is offering a gold-backed S4 in the Gold Brown and Gold Pink shades. The phone looks just the same as the original Samsung Galaxy S4 in terms of design. However, the back of the phone comes in a golden shade. Unlike the iPhone 5S, which comes with a partial golden back-panel, the complete back is golden in case of Samsung Galaxy S4. Also, while the iPhone 5S sports a more metallic gold shade, Samsung Galaxy S4 looks glossy and shiny. The front of the phone is available in two shades: Pink and Brown. Samsung has completely altered the look of the phone with the colours.
