Six inmates studying for PhD, 1,000 pursuing first degrees – NCoS

The Nigeria Correctional Service disclosed on Thursday that the Federal Government had increased the feeding allowance for prison inmates. It also disclosed that over 1,000 inmates are currently pursuing university degrees, while six are studying for PhD. The increase in inmates’ feeding allowing follows a recent viral video in which inmates at a correctional centre
