Transfer Rumours - Man Utd plans for Vidal and Fabregas, Wenger - u dey look?

Van Gaal has been given the task of sorting out United's lack of creativity in midfield and recruiting a new generation of defenders who can take up the mantle of the departing Rio Ferdinand, Nemanja Vidic and Patrice Evra.

It's understood the Dutch boss has given Old Trafford executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward a shortlist of players to help fill the void, with the names of Vidal and Fabregas thought to be featured.

New reports claim Barcelona have put star midfielder Fabregas up for sale and are ready to listen to offers from interested parties, who include Premier League Arsenal.

They suggest Barca are testing the waters and are trying to see if they would get any big offers for the playmaker.
