The England midfielder has been linked with a move away from West Ham and Morgan has urged his beloved Gunners to try and steal a march on the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea, who have previously been linked with Rice.

Quote tweeting a post from Rice celebrating the victory, Morgan said: “Arsenal should sign this guy.”

The resounding win cements West Ham’s position in fourth spot and in touch with second and third after Liverpool and Manchester City dropped points.

West Ham enjoyed a sixth-placed finish last season but manager David Moyes has previously revealed his hopes to finish even higher this term.

Rice is demanding a continuation of the high standards from the team too

Rice echoed this idea as he called on his teammates to not drop their standards.

He said: “There was a big question at the start of the season on whether we could do it again, especially with the squad rotation, could we be used to playing in Europe and the Premier League?

“I think we’ve found out that we can.

“But we’re only ten games in, there are still a fair few left and we have to stay at it. This is the standard and we can’t drop.

“If we want to be a big club you need to maintain those standards and stay up the top of the table.”
